Peaceful short stay
5/5 Stars Upfront Reviews - July 2024
Perfectly located, quiet and peaceful surroundings. Kevin and Kate were great hosts, checking we had everything we needed. Lovely walks nearby and amenities within a short distance. An additional treat were the horses, goats, geese, ducks and visiting deer.

5/5 Stars Upfront Reviews - July 2024
Heronlea Cottage is perfectly situated for a tour of the Hihglands. It is a comfortable, very clean cottage in a charming valley surrounded by forests. There are horses, goats and very friendly ducks. Kate and Kevin, our hosts, could not have have been nicer. They are so thoughtful, making sure our every need was met. We so enjoyed our stay. We had everything we needed with a full kitchen with all the amenities and a delightful huge living room with lots of light. It was truely relaxing and we are so grateful to our lovely hosts for taking such good care of us. Highly recommended!

Guest Book Review

29 April 2024

My husband and I recently stayed at Heronlea Cottage with our Labrador Clyde. From the moment we arrived Kevin and Kate could not have been more helpful to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

The cottage is cosy with great facilities - comfy beds, electric heating and spacious lounge area. We loved relaxing in the huge upstairs sitting room, reclining on the sofa and enjoying the views of the countryside.

Each morning we woke up to a herd of deer in the garden and ducks and geese in the pond.  The cottage is close to the local Heritage Trail and we enjoyed many walks there with Clyde.

You feel you are in the middle of the countryside and yet you are only one mile from the town of Dunoon. At night, the lack of light pollution allows the stars to shine through. So quiet and peaceful.

Our grandchildren loved the huge garden space around the cottage and loved seeing the goats and horses every day.

A wee gem of a property.
