High Beach Cottage is a superb holiday house offering spacious and luxurious holiday accommodation for up to eight guests. Ideally set on an elevated position to maximise the views over the seaside village in Kames.  Guests will enjoy stylish living and sea vistas over the Kyles of Bute in a charming coastal location. Ideal for families and couples.

Beautifully decorated and designed High Beach Cottage is warm and welcoming at any time of the year. Dominated by spacious living areas and views. Guests will appreciate all the modern comforts this holiday house offers.
 
The ground floor features the living room, with a wood burning fire, comfortable sofas and windows to enjoy the ever-changing views over the Kyles. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with all your modern appliances. The dining area is a wonderful space for casual meals, with patio doors that open up onto the terrace decking.
 
From the kitchen there is a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
 
Bedrooms and Bathroom
There is a twin bedroom on the ground floor with a shared family bathroom. Upstairs there are two beautifully appointed double bedrooms and a twin bedroom, all with quality furnishings and bed linen. Travel cot available.

Outside
Patio doors open up to the outdoor decking terrace that catches the midday sun with landscaped gardens below. Enjoy sea views, alfresco meals or relaxed afternoons soaking up the Scottish sunshine. Your private garden has further outdoor seating areas to the side of the house. The Summer evenings in Kames are magical.
 
The waterfront is only a five minute walk down the hillside where you can walk along the shoreline.
 
The local Kames Hotel is only a short walk away. 
 
Explore
Just a short walk to Kames Village there is a friendly pub and welcoming locals. Kames is tucked away on the West Coast of Scotland, also known as Argyll's Secret Coast. Nearby is the main street of Tighnabruaich where you will find local arts and crafts, cafes and further pubs. 
 
Bordered by Loch Fyne and the Kyles of Bute, this is an area of stunning natural beauty, with hills, glens, rugged coastlines, white beaches, clear waters and ancient forests. The whole area is steeped in Highland history and dotted with ruins, castles and ancient sites.
 
Just over 4 miles away is Portavadie, the well known marina, with a leisure spa, indoor swimming pool, outdoor infinity pool, jacuzzi and 2 restaurants.
 
Explore further afield to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, the Isle of Bute, and historic Inveraray, it's also an easy day trip to Oban, one of the seafood capitals of Scotland.

Car Parking: Private car parking is available onsite for two cars. There is space in front of the house at the lower level for cars/bikes.

Access: The property is accessed by 5 steps at the front entrance and 6 steps at the side entrance via the outdoor decking. The drive way is slightly steep.

KAMES
Kames is a small coastal village on the Cowal Peninsula in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, on the shore of the west arm of the Kyles of Bute. Approximately 80 miles from Glasgow by road, a perfect tranquil holiday spot. Known as one of the most scenic drives in Scotland, a drive along the narrow roads chisled out the hill side offers some of the best views of the Bute, Arran and the Ayrshire coasts and the hills.

We had a lovely stay at high beach cottage over Easter. We were very impressed by how well-equipped the kitchen was and the games there were for kids of all ages. We enjoyed sitting in front of the fire in the evening and enjoying the view.

I would have no hesitation in recommending High Beach cottage as a holiday home. It is comfortable and very well appointed with excellent communication from the friendly owners.
There was a lovely welcome basket of goodies waiting for us when we arrived and the fire had been laid ready for us, which was a nice touch. We were left plenty of logs to keep us going over our stay and there were clear instructions on how to work everything.
The cottage was cleaned to a very high standard and had everything we needed in the kitchen.
It is in an excellent location with ample off street parking.
Following this holiday we are hoping to book again later in the year.

This is a lovely Cottage to stay with great views of the stunning Kyles of Bute. The cottage will take 7 people easily and an 8th person wit the pull out bed. The cottage is modern but cosy - warm and clean. Lots of board games and DVDs for those rainy afternoons Kames has a great shop and hotel/pub which does good food. There is also the Tide and Thyme restaurant which is more up market but reasonably priced and BYOB. Tighnabruich has another shop and a few more places to eat. Its very easy to get to Bute and Tarbert via short cheap ferry trips Scenery is stunning
