After having to cancel our original booking due to a family death, all involved were very accommodating in rearranging our booking. Property fulfilled our expectations of a peaceful relaxing time away. Owner very willing to answer any questions if needed. Most enjoyable time away.

5/5 Star Upfront Reviews - August 2023
Stayed here with two small dogs for a week. Lovely location and quiet. Cottage fully equipped.
Unfortunately garden not secure for small dogs to roam freely as can get under the fence in places, so we had to tether ours.

Nursery Cottage
5/5 Upfront Reviews - May 2023
The cottage was lovely and so easy to find .The view from the lounge window was amazing and watching the red squirrel feed there was even a tub with nuts to feed them. It had everything you need with lots of cooking utensils and plenty of hot water and lovely clean towels and bed linen. We had a fantastic holiday and was just down the road from Benmore Botanic Gardens which had some lovely walks and a lovely coffee shop.

Dog heaven
5/5 Upfront Reviews - April 2023
Fabulous cottage has everything you need and is spotlessly clean. Views from the front lounge are stunning across the tidal river and to the mountains topped with snow, with red squirrel in the garden. Arrived from Glasgow via Loch Lomond to enjoy the scenic drive. Our favourite dog walks were Kilmun Arboretum, Puck’s Glen, Benmore Gardens and Ettrick Bay on the Isle of Bute.

Great location and host

Nursery Cottage is in a great location to explore Argyll and beyond, many walk around the local area some in forests some with stunning views.

The host Jo is very welcoming and ensures your stay is the best it can be.

Lovely cottage with amazing views
5/5 Upfront Reviews - July 2022
Really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean and spacious with lots of modern facilities. The large window in the lounge really accentuated the view out onto the river and the mountains beyond. Some complimentary wine and shortbread didn’t do any harm either! Thoroughly recommended.

Lovely quiet cottage
4.7/5 Upfront Reviews - April 2022
A lovely situated cottage. We watched the small river in front of the cottage ebb and flow , with herons , ducks and swans. To the back of the cottage was a forest and we saw red squirrels and daily visits by yellow wagtails. The cottage was situated so you could get easy ferries to Bute and back to the outskirts of Glasgow on our return journey home. A good cottage experience.

Nursery Cottage - lovely property and host

New Year 2021/22
Our stay at nursery cottage was perfect from beginning to end. We were in need of some much needed down time from a busy year and we could not think of a better location to achieve this. Our host, Jo, was an absolute pleasure do deal with and reflected the ambience of her lovely property, which had such a warm and homely feel to it. With stunning views over the Glen's and river, you can either sit in the living room with a brew and let the view change right infant of you at your convenience or get out there and explore it on foot for yourself.
Nursery Cottages location was ideal for peace and tranquility, but offers a short drive to Dunoon where we found everything we needed.
Can't recommend this place enough.

A lovely cottage in a great location with great views, kitchen well equipped, beds very comfortable could do with instructions on how to use wood fire

90/100

Sept 2021

Nursery cottage was peaceful and tranquil with amazing view from lounge window . It was clean, had comfy beds and we were adequately catered for .
A guest review book may have been nice , and a blind at the kitchen window and bathroom window , especially when it’s dark and lights need to be on would well not go a miss . But overall quite impressive , apart from bits missing from the cluedo board game.
