Old Powdermill Cottage is an inviting cottage nestled in the tranquil hamlet of Milhouse on the Cowal Peninsula. Surrounded by woodlands and meadows, this newly refurbished cottage is perfect for families or couples wanting to explore this stunning region. 

Interiors
Full of country charm and quality furnishings throughout, the cottage is a home away from home for up to six guests.  After a day of exploring settle into the living room filled with comfortable sofas, leather chairs and an inviting double sided wood burner shared with the dining room. For entertainment there is free Wi-Fi, and a 55” Smart TV with live streaming.
 
The dining room features a sizeable table taking centre stage seating 6, creating the perfect spot for gathering and enjoying lazy meals together. 
 
The kitchen is generously equipped with all your modern appliances, featuring a fridge freezer, dishwasher, electric oven and hob, and Nespresso coffee machine. The region has an abundance of local produce on its doorstep to encourage guests to sample and be creative in the kitchen.
 
There is a washing machine for the convenience of longer stays.
 
There are two double bedrooms and a cosy twin bedroom, ideal for children with a single bed and a single trundle bed.

Guests have access to an outdoor paved terrace and garden with views overlooking the woods. There is a shed with outdoor furniture and for storing bicycles. 
 
Two well behaved dogs are welcome. There are plenty of walks nearby for your furry friends to enjoy.
 
Explore
Ideally located nearby the quaint village of Kames/Tighnabruaich and Portavadie marina.
 
An area known as Argyll's Secret Coast has a host of adventures on land and sea, from cycling forests tracks to walking coastal paths, nearby fishing spots and historical sites.
 
Explore the coastline with the wind in your hair, or get out on the water with Fyne Sea Tours, take a Calmac Ferry across to the seaside village of Tarbert. You might see deer, buzzards, otters, golden eagles, red squirrels and even, if you are very lucky, basking sharks while you are out and about.  A location for those with a love of the outdoors, or those who will simply enjoy the natural beauty in this magical place. 
 
There are some great village pubs all within a 2 mile reach. Alternatively, visit Portavadie with restaurants, shopping, and spa and leisure facilities for a day of pampering. The Kyles of Bute Golf Course is a well-kept secret, this stunning nine-hole course has great views from every tee. 
 
Explore further afield and take the short ferry ride to the Isle of Bute, explore the Island's attractions, including the Historical Mount Stuart House. It's also an easy day trip to Oban, one of the seafood capitals of Scotland. 
 
Dog Policy: Two well behaved dogs are welcome. £20.00 per dog per stay.
